Keagan and Jarisca's Matric Farewell :)

Keagan is the oldest of my youngest brothers, so of course, I couldn't miss his Matric Dance and the opportunity to take his photos, there was a few obstacles the first and biggest being the weather!!

Of course you wish , hope and pray for a perfect day blue skies and sunshine as to get that wonderful late afternoon light but No we had a huge storm 100km winds(so strong they rocked the car while driving) , lightening and torrential rain so there went my ideas of a fun beach shoot or a shoot at the beautiful Rhodes memorial, sooo I had to come up with a plan B and fast!

His dance was on Friday the 22 April 2016, I had a idea.. indoors...hmmm maybe a restaurant? or a nice vintage store? OK so got hold of a few restaurants one being Dales BLACK ANGUS GRILL they said they would get back to me on my request of doing a shoot which they never did so on to my next plan, picked my brother up at 10am from school and went to a small little antiques store around the corner from my mothers work called the Blue Peacock the very friendly and helpful store owner who agreed to me taking pictures , YAY OK got a place now to try and get flowers for the date ,can you believe that florists in Capetown , in Tableview are rare , there was only one and we discovered this by going to the local plant store, Starke Ayres located at the west coast village in sunningdale , then I had another brainwave , I asked them if we could do some pictures there aswel which they happily agreed to :)

the second obstacle turned out the date being 30min late which put the time for photos in a bit of a pinch but with all these hurdles I still manages to get some awesome shots in as I love challenges!

(after doing photos at the Blue Peacock the weather let up a little , long enough to get some family shots in the garden at my mothers work)
